McDonald’s Australia is on a significant journey of growth with ambitious goals to grow our new store network.  We’re looking for a Senior Development Manager (Real Estate) to help us secure the next generation of McDonald’s restaurants across NSW with a strong focus on identifying and acquiring sites for our 2026 and 2027 development pipeline.  Are you the experienced real estate professional who can target, evaluate and acquire the right new sites that will bring our 2026/27 development plans to life? What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?

  • Actively source and evaluate potential sites that match Macca’s growth strategy for 2026/27
  • Conduct detailed feasibility assessments and present recommendations to leadership
  • Lead end-to-end property acquisition or leasing — from negotiation through to handover to the Construction Team.
  • Work with legal, consultants, landlords, vendors and internal stakeholders to bring sites to approval
  • Support alignment across operators, corporate teams and the National Development Group
  • Provide expert market insights on rents, pricing and market conditions
  • Maintain strong knowledge of development standards, WHS and environmental requirements

Your keys to success:

  • Tertiary qualifications in real estate, property or related discipline
  • 5+ years experience in property acquisition or development
  • Experience with both freehold and leasehold negotiations
  • Strong network-building capability and comfort working in competitive markets
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to influence and navigate challenging conversations
  • Proven experience in securing new sites and contributing to business growth strategies
  • High drive, resilience and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Collaborative mindset, strong stakeholder skills and a passion for creating value
